Two students from Sistan Baloochestan and Lahijan universities in Iran committed suicide. Female student of Azad University of Lahijan committed suicide last week by jumping off the forth floor of the building in which the security office was. She was summoned to student’s disciplinary committee several times before.
The student of Sistan Baloochestan University took her life by using peels. She was under the constant pressure of the security Guard of the university. This was the second case of suicide in the last one and half month in this university.
According to officials, suicide is the second major cause of death between university students and in each 28 cases of suicidal attempts 7 cases are boys and the rest 21 cases are girls.
In April another student in Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran poisoned himself and one student in Hamedan committed suicide using shut gun in the campus.
Farinaz, 21 year old, also committed suicide while 2 days before the incident she was beaten up and arrested by the security forces in university due to Hijab problem. She took her life when she was released.
In Damghan another student strangled herself in the dorm an in Tehran one of the students jumped from the sixth floor of the building in university.

one must not forget that one aspect of “security” cases is the image that they carry for the groups that advance such issues. Therefore, before fake charges take to the news-media and become public, those who have had a hand in arresting the students must be weakened. Otherwise, after the severe charges are made public, repeated and are tied to the image of the actors, even the intervention of the head of the judiciary (as history demonstrates) cannot be of much help to the detainees.
How can we tell the judiciary officials of Iran that according to law juveniles can stay alive and continue to live with appropriate and suitable punishment? How must one make this request from the judiciary a public and wide-spread demand and point out that killing a juvenile who has not wholeheartedly committed an act does not solve any of the real problems facing the country?
