After setting about 36,000 US$ as the security deposit, the deputy prosecutor of Kurdistan provincial court informed Mahmood Salehi’s family that he won’t be leaving the prison.

His son told: “After several efforts and asking for my Dad’s freedom, the provincial court agreed to set him free in the condition of ending the hunger strike and providing 36,000 US$ security deposit. However, when we went to the provincial court to hand in the deposit, the deputy prosecutor informed us that he won’t be leaving the prison until I am in charge of his case”.
